Applied to Computer Science … Admitted to University College Undeclared

Admission into Computer Science requires that students present a higher combination of high school grade point average and SAT (or ACT) score than is required for general admission to the University.

An academic adviser in the University College will assist you in a course selection recommended by the Computer Science department. Below is a sample schedule that an advisor may outline for you.

Upon successful completion of 24 semester hours of academic credit and an overall 2.5 grade point average, you may apply to the Department of Computer Science for a change of major. Critical to your success in any technical curriculum is a freshman’s background and performance in math and computer courses. It is the University’s hope that by this carefully advised approach you will achieve your goal to become a computer science major.
