Admission into Engineering requires that students present a higher combination of high school grade point average and SAT (or ACT) score than is required for general admission to the University.

An academic adviser in the University College will assist you with your selection of recommended courses.

Upon successful completion of your freshman year with an overall grade point average of 2.5, you may apply to the College of Engineering for a change of major. Critical to success in any engineering curriculum is a freshman’s background and performance in math and science courses. It is the University’s hope that by this carefully advised approach you will achieve your goal to become an engineer.
